An orphan girl from a wealthy family, lives with her depressed, withdrawn father, and falls in love with Tawfiq, a writer in her father's circle. She trusts him, but he misuses this trust and assaults her, steals her father's money, and runs away. Her father only reports the money that Tawfiq stole, but does not report the assault on his daughter.
