This is a women's film directed by social activist Imai Tadashi, with a screenplay by Hashida Sugako based on a novel by Sono Ayako. Chisaka Kyoko (Wakao Ayako) is an unsuccessful actress. She manages to get by day to day by working as a nude model. However, after meeting the president of a production company (Shimura Takashi) and becoming his mistress, her career as an actress is smooth sailing. However, after the president dies, she continues to date with men, including a university professor (Funakoshi Eiji), a professional baseball player (Fujimaki Jun), and a writer (Tamura Takahiro), but her true desire is for a happy marriage and a peaceful life. Then, one day, her body is discovered after taking too many sleeping pills...
