Palang Rocksilp

Dr. Palang Rocksilp, born in July 1989 in Bangkok, Thailand, grew up in a musically inclined family. At age 12, he moved to China to study classical singing. He attended the China Conservatory of Music High School and later earned his bachelor’s degree in opera from the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing. He built his early career as an opera singer in China, performing in national symphony concerts and even singing in the choir at the 2008 Beijing Olympics closing ceremony. He also appeared on Chinese comedy shows, impressing audiences with his fluent Mandarin and culturally witty humor. Despite his Chinese fluency, he proudly asserted his Thai identity. Dr. Palang made his Thai entertainment debut in the Netflix series “Mad Unicorn”, playing the role of Rui Jie, a hot-tempered programmer. His sharp-tongued, fiery character earned him the nickname “The New Verbal Machine Gun”. Off-screen, however, he’s calm and polite, in contrast to his character. He continues to work across both Thailand and China, performing opera, teaching, and acting. Known for his powerful baritone voice, he’s celebrated for blending Thai identity with international talent.
